SBA: Rainer, I talked to OF (the one in charge for installation QA)...
There is no need for a version to install or work correctly when a "slightly
older" version was there before that was not removed completely. The only
scenario that deserves to be looked after is "A Final ( a.k.a. stable) version
(i.e. OOo 1.1.4) was installed, then the OOo 2 candidate (be it 1.9.106,
1.9.120, 1.9.122,...) gets installed and gets some of the files or settings from
that older version".
In between "developer builds", you have to remove (or rename) the old /user/
directory. If you do not, then "anything may happen". And it is not a bug,
because this is a "constructed" scenario that happens only to developers and QA
folks that HAVE to install the "interim builds".
I talked to colleagues having problems with dictionaries, too. But they all had
to accept that there is no point to look after this, if an installation is made
on top of the other (concerning the /user/ directory not being deleted).
If this worked OK for you for a while, that's fine, but there is no point in
looking after such "piled-up installations" as you describe yours. We are not
interested in tracing, for example build errors of 10 Masterbuilds ago that led
to "bad stuff" within the /user/ directory. And if these do not occur anymore
(like the entire /share/ directory being installed BESIDE the /user/ directory/,
then the next "clean" installation will bring up only REAL problems.
Therefore I will set this one to "invalid".
