The collaboration feature in Calc allows multiple users to work
simultaneously on a single spreadsheet document. The granularity
for sharing is the whole spreadsheet document.
As the whole merge process is based on the existing change tracking
functionality, there are some technical limitations. Only those
changes which are recorded by change tracking can be merged.
Especially changes to formatting attributes and drawing objects
cannot be merged.
In addition, file locking is not working reliable when working
on different file systems (NFS, Samba, etc.). This will be fixed
in a follow-up issue.
