We've implemented this for individual ticket edits in [#6293]. AFAIR, on 'blur' events for jquery plugin we use, already implemented, but they doesn't work with autocomplite. In [#6293] we just hooked to form's submit and handle labels input there. I think similar approach would work here.

But since you didn't hit "enter" in the label field, it doesn't get set as a label.
