Thanks, Jane. You have made me feel better. I have managed to shovel a path to the trash can and get it up to the road this morning, but I doubt that the trash truck will run. I got as far as the car, but I'm going to have to recover before I try to dig it out. This experience has given me a better appreciation of what people in northern climes have to put up with. I did live in Anchorage, Alaska for two years, but I had a husband then to deal with this kind of thing. You should have seen my cats try to manipulate the snow. Made me wish I had a camcorder.
