Furthermore, some plants, like Sedum and most others that have CAM, have a hard 
time during Eastern US summers not because of lack of humidity, but because 
diurnal temperature ranges aren't wide enough to trigger the plant's stomata to 
open.  Those plants will eventually literally suffocate.
