Hi folks, Your comments were welcomed and accepted in full. Unfortunately HDR shots appear to favour detail rich landscapes and urban scenes rather than less visually complicated flowers and foliage. I have been tinkering with the effect rather than dedicating myself to the technique and my early efforts have only worked satisfactorily (in my opinion) on a very narrow band of subjects. Flowers subjected to the technique appear embossed, rendered or utterly false. It is easy to over-egg this particular pudding! I would like to thank Paige for retaining this HDR scene in the gallery as it will hopefully act as an example of the technique, for further discussion perhaps or as a reminder to future contributors that only alpines, alpine fauna and their habitats should be posted. I agree totally with Dave that the gallery as it stands should only include true representations of alpines (or fauna, etc.), but I would like to open a discussion about the introduction of an 'alpine art' section to encourage artistic representations of alpine subjects. These images are now very popular at alpine shows in the UK and by their introduction we may encourage more contributors to this excellent resource?
