Alice has it right, allow me to shed further light on where the NARGS
online quarterly indices are located. If you are a NARGS Member, when
you visit the NARGS website at http://www.nargs.org or simply
http://nargs.org/ you may notice on the bottom left-hand side of the
screen, there is a "NARGS Member login area". There is text stating
"Only members have user accounts. Join NARGS to enjoy member
privileges". If you know your NARGS Member login credentials, enter
your loginname and password to login.
After logging in, a new "menu block" appears on the left side of the
screen labeled "User Menu". From that menu select "Quarterly
Bulletins", then you'll see links for indices for the NARGS quarterly
bulletins from 1943-2008 (65 years) listed by sorted categories: Plant
Name Index, Subject Index, and Author-Title Index.
What if you're a NARGS member but don't have a login to the website yet,
or you've forgotten your loginname and password? Well, going back to
the main nargs.org web site, back at the lower "NARGS Member login
area", there is a "Forgot Login" link in case you've lost or forgotten
your login credentials, and above it there is a link entitled
"Requesting a web login", which gives information on how to get a login.
If your're not currently a NARGS member, you can join to get access to
member-only privileges. On this same informational page, it does let
the visitor know that the NARGS Forum is open to "self-registration"; no
need to be a NARGS member, it is open to all approved internet visitors
that pass a forum-spam check (there are above 200 invalid nefarious
spammer registration requests on NARGS Forum each day!, most of which
get automatically denied via Forum automation that checks with
Forum-Anti-Spam services).
So, the information is there on the NARGS web site, a useful NARGS
Member perk. I no longer depend on my various "cumulative indices" that
have been published through the years, I tend to misplace them, this
single online resource is my preferred reference now. By the way, I
merely suppy the facts here as I understand them, I am not privy to the
establishment or design of this resource.
