We have been down this road before, Maggie. There are considerable
accessability issues on the old site and a brief looksee at the new homepage
with WAVE reveals ever more egregious errors. It's your site, do what you
wish, but I find that not accomodating half the browser market is....well...I
really don't have a tactful word to use, so elitist will have to do for now.

Best,
M

PS: IE is also a free download

Subject: [Alpine-l] IE use for browsing- was missing mountains.....

"In June IE was slightly above 49% of the browser market."
Which means 51 % were using something else!
Since Windows have such a firm hold of the market for
other operating systems, and IE tends to come bundled with
those, it is hardly surprising that a large number of folks
just "go with that flow".
IE will not support the moving images, slide shows and
interior menus that we are utilising.
Since we hope to add video clips as well, IE is just not going
to serve those needs. We want folks to see all those fantastic
plants in the best way possible!
M.Y.
