Hi Barbara,
I was in Saas-Fee this year (2nd week of July) and Eritricium nanum, Androsace
alpina (pink form), later Gentians and Gentianellas, Dianthus sylvestris(?) and
carthusinorum (in its dwarf form), Campanula barbata, Primula hirsuta,
Ranunculus glacialis were out; plus a whole host of others alpines.

Flowering also depends on your altitude.

I found that in Switzerland the ski lifts take you up into the alpine zones.
Enjoy you visit.

Hi Barbara,
We haven't been to Adelboden, but had the most wonderful time in Wengen
arriving at snowmelt time in early June.  We caught the very best display of
early alpines including crocus, pulsatillas, soldanellas, gentians, primulas
and countless other beautiful species.  More plants and species than we could
ever have imagined and, because of the incredible transport system, hiking
ability isn't always necessary.  Hope you have a stunning vacation with
glorious weather.
Kind regards,
Cliff Booker
