i forgot to mention. i am using red hat 8. the initial install was to install everything and all languages. i then updated the rpms from the update site and installed a newer kernel 2.4.18-24.8.0 for i686 making sure that the source is installed as well. edited lilo.conf accordingly. It was to this newer kernel patch that i installed emu10k1 I am using a pentium 4 2.4gh with 512gb ram.
will there be a problem with deleting the kernel with rpm -e when i want to update the kernel again? And if I upgrade to a newer kernel, will i have to re install emu10k1 to that kernel? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
