Nooo. Make in a warning.
Currently, users have varying version of alsa 0.9.x
People want their applications to compile ok on a number of maybe slightly
older alsa 0.9.x versions, and not just the latest CVS.

This could change to an #error after some period of time, when application
writers have had acceptable time to modify their code, without adversely
effecting too many users.
