Dear Alsa, I have installed SuSE 7.2 on my laptop and the soundcard worked. Removed it and installed RedHat 7.1. When using sndconfig the program stucks. First question: any tip about what I should write in /etc/modules.conf? I m a linux newbie and I don t quite understand what is written in the documentation Second question: Errors while executing modprobe snd-card-ali5451: /sbin/modprobe snd-card-ali5451 /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/misc/snd-card-ali5451.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/misc/snd-card-ali5451.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/misc/snd-card-ali5451.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.2-2/misc/snd-card-ali5451.o: insmod snd-card-ali5451 failed any help is welcome.
