Hello everybody!
Recently I bought a new machine with a K7S5A
Mainboard with onboard sound. The device id is 7012. So far there are only
commercial OSS drivers available. Jaroslav Kysela told me that there won't be
any alsa support as long as there is no documentation.
Maybe this information can close this gap.
The site http://www6.tomshardware.com/mainboard/01q2/010611/sis-11.html claims
that the used Audio Codec is AD1881A from Analog Products. The Datasheets for
this Codec are availablew here: http://products.analog.com/products/info.asp?product=AD1881A As
it is compatible with the intel specs I guess it should be possible to
modify the Intel 8x0 driver.
As my programming skills are very limited maybe
this can help someone programming.
Regards
Dominik Christ
