I monitor creative drivers, and they have not any extra features
(except missing an user space linker for FX8010 DSP - different design of
microcode maintaince). ALSA offers the wavetable synthesis for EMU10K1 for
months, while the creative driver offers only PCM & mixer capabilities.

Note that we are settled, that OSS drivers will be available in the
kernel tree until ALSA kernel code has not included all OSS drivers.
On the other hand, the inclusion of ALSA to the main kernel tree surely
involves more driver developers to work on ALSA.

Again, more involved people with different hardware can improve
the current sources.
