We are prepared, but the negotiations are somewhat frozen. The last
responsible person - Jeff Garzik - does not communicate with me since
July. I hope, that I am not pushing my head against a hidden wall, and we
will end in continuous, technical discussion about the integration /
design problems.

For everybody hackers, the latest ALSA kernel patch against 2.4.12 is
here:

ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/kernel-patches/alsa-0.9.0beta8a-k2.4.12-2881052.diff.bz2

Also, a new directory structure (following the agreement with Alan Cox and
Jeff Garzik) can be generated with this script:

http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa/driver-source/utils/oss-move

Also, it would be good to tell me, if I can move the ALSA's device
registration code to the soundcore module allowing to create the third
party ALSA drivers.

                                        Yours,
                                                Jaroslav
