He he.. Sounds like you're overlooking the guts of the doxygen documentation :) Click the "Modules" link at the top. That should give you a better idea. The "PCM (digital audio) interface" is more of a nice general overview description, "Modules" will give you access to all the reference stuff. I wonder how many other people make this mistake? It seems sad that someone would think that that is the only documentation, when pretty much every function in ALSA has at least a brief blurb about it (whether that blurb is useful information is another story). I still think the access to this doxygen information is a little bit confusing (at least when browsing online). Why isn't it on the API page? Perhaps we should start considering the ALSA 0.9.0 stuff to be the current release? It seems like its still being considered "cutting edge" although it is much improved compared to 0.5.0. Much of the more prominent documentation listed is fairly outdated. Seems like those pages need to be re-worked to have the new 0.9.0 stuff as the prominent links and the old stuff linked only for its historical value. Many people keep complaining about there not being that much documentation. Seems to me like there is fairly sufficient "reference" documentation, although we still suffer from more general overview docs. Perhaps they don't know about the doxygen stuff, and this would quite some complaints? -- Josh Green Smurf Sound Font Editor (http://smurf.sourceforge.net) _______________________________________________ Alsa-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-devel
