There is some attempt to do so in the emu101k driver devel team. Just take a look at the emu101k-devel mailing-list: http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=44773 Unfortunately they recently change their mailing-list. So all the archive have disappeared. :-/ But, you can ask how to get the audigy CVS branch.
