i've occasionally had my BIOS screw up and not assign IRQs correctly. even though RME claim that the Hammerfall can share interrupts, when it ended up on the same IRQ as my SCSI interface, things did not work well at all, though it does not affect module loading in any way. i had to physically relocate the card to avoid the problem, even though the IRQ assignment had worked fine previously and no other h/w changes were made to the machine. i suspect that there is a lot of h/w that is at best marginal when sharing PCI IRQ lines, even though they are claimed to be shareable. --p _______________________________________________ Alsa-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-devel
