Same for me .. I even tried setting the EAPD to high (patching the kernel-driver), but don't know what's connected to the EAPD. I don't want to open my notebook (was too expensive!) .. I think here some Information from SoundMAX/Compaq/... Would be VERY helpful - but don't know where to get it.
Does anybody have a datasheet for the specific chip in the notebook?! .. I only have a sheet for AD1881, it was the only one that I could find. Think, the chip in the notebook is very similar to the AD1881 (maybe wrong!). So .. Now we are almost five guys with the same problem (found messages in some forums from two other people) .. Should be enough to get the thing going, isn't it?!
