Hallo Jaroslav, Now I have found a solution for my silent midi problem. Therefore I updated the dsp code in alsa-kernel/pci/emu10k1/emufx.c I added a slider called "Music Amplification" which is an integer between 0 and 16(in my box it is 100 in the mean time). Now Midi's volume is ok. I'll send you my version of the file
I have found another interesting fact about my other problem, that events are not played. If I reach the point that events are not played anymore, I do some keyboard events thus hitting onto the keys of my external keyboard. which were obviously received by my application. then it worked again. Could it be, that I have to allocate and free events instead of declaring a events variable ? Could it be, that this problem is caused by xruns with audio data which is played simultanisouly ? BTW: How to resume from a xrun ? rds guenther
