there are now so many professional cards supported under linux that it's
a waste of time IMHO to reverse engineer stuff. many vendors have
understood that providing specs is an important aspect of customer care.
the vendors who haven't should just learn it the hard way. buy
elsewhere. (yeah, i know you probably already have that card, but hey,
that's what ebay is for :)
