unfortunately the chip is badly supported. the information we got from the hardware vendor was very limited (and even with bugs included :) i'm not sure whether the equalizer is implemented on hardware. such a thing could be on sofware. anyway, currently the cs46xx driver supports only the basic ac97 codec and analog output from front speakers. no spdif, no surround, and no effects.
