My mtpav is working pretty well with ALSA, Rosegarden, and MusE these days. I'm not using it for SMPTE or anything fancy, of course, but it works OK as a MIDI patch bay and MIDI interface for the computer, which is plenty for me.
I'd like to write a software editor for it. MOTU is notoriously stingy about giving out their device documentation. I heard the Unitor 8 was similar enough in sysex implementation that documentation for it might be enough. I have the .txt file for Unitor 8 sysex, but it's in German. If any of you have an english translation better than that of babelfish, please help. Better mtpav documentation would be a huge bonus too.
