Just thought I should say that the Audio Excel (Chaintech) AV710 7.1 channel card is supported by ALSA. It seems to have sound on all channels. It uses the ice1724 driver and it does work. It is using the ICE1721 chipset with the ICE1616 codec I believe. I hope this is enough info to put it on the soundcard matrix. If not let me know what else is needed and I will gladly supply it.
