Mic input doesn't seem to work on the Soundstorm with
the latest ALSA rc. Yes, I have checked that I have
both 'CAPTURE' and 'Mic' set to full under ALSA mixer
and its not a hardware fault as it was working fine
when I was running RH9 with an earlier ALSA.

snd-intel8x0 gets listed twice during boot when it
says 'Loading ALSA Modules' (or whatever).

I'm running

ALSA driver/lib/utils 1.0.0rc2

Linux 2.4.23 w/ XFS patch

Mandrake 9.2 on a ASUS A7N8X and I'm using the onboard
sound (NFORCE2/Soundstorm).

PCM playback started working properly when I upgraded
to the latest alsa-utils, MIDI works but recording
doesn't.  This is what happens with arecord:
