I was contemplating the purchase of a HDSP9632 plus at least the input
card, 192kHz version. If the driver is not working until i get it (which
might be weeks or months away), i'm willing to do testing on behalf of
Thomas or whoever is doing the development (or even provide SSH access
to the system).

Indeed, the RME driver is a great feature of ALSA.
