i recently purchased a terapin mine (specs here: http://www.terapintech.com/spec_mine.html), and i also happen to have a spare vx pocket v2. the alsa project contains drivers for the vx pocket, but the mine apparently requires some code which is specific to its hardware in order to make a usable driver. the information about what exactly is required can apparently be obtained here: http://www.mineterapin.com/mdn/html/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2 (under "mdk pcmcia driver howto"). unfortunately, i have never written a driver myself and don't understand all of the principles involved. what i would like to know is whether it would be possible to port the existing alsa driver for use with my terapin mine, or whether a new driver would actually need to be written from scratch. if anyone can take a glance at the terapin mine pcmcia driver doc and give me a better idea of whether the alsa driver could be ported and how easily, it would be greatly appreciated. -- _______________________________________________ Graffiti.net free e-mail @ www.graffiti.net Check out our value-added Premium features, such as an extra 20MB for just US$9.95 per year!
