Hello,
I am using alsa 0.9.0beta 11. I installed all the modules, libs, tools etc
and everything seemed to go fine. However, the problem I am experiencing is
that the headphone channel is actually the master volume, and the master
volume channels seem to do nothing. Thus, I am only able to change the
master volume in alsamixer by changing the headphone channel. The PCM
channel seems to function normally.
I am using an intel motherboard with an i8x0 chipset, kernel 2.4.17 on
slackware 8. Please note I have also installed alsa .5 and had the exact
same problem. Has anyone seen this or know of a fix?
