Thanks Clemens,
------
There should by an error message in the system log (/var/log/messages,
or the output of dmesg).
------
I did not find anything relevant to show me clearly about problems with
PCI soundcards. Unfortunately I failed to understand well the content of
these messages :(
Anyway, I did the following: I removed these 3 PCI soundcards and then
install them again one by one.
First I installed one in slot 3 ... ok ok ok ... same irq :)) ... :
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [ICH5 ]: ICH4 - Intel ICH5
Intel ICH5 with AD1981B at irq 17
1 [ALS4000 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2000, irq 17
Then I added other in slot 2:
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [ICH5 ]: ICH4 - Intel ICH5
Intel ICH5 with AD1981B at irq 17
1 [ALS4000 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2000, irq 22
2 [ALS4000_1 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2080, irq 17
Finally I added the other one in slot 1:
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [ICH5 ]: ICH4 - Intel ICH5
Intel ICH5 with AD1981B at irq 17
1 [ALS4000 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2000, irq 21
2 [ALS4000_1 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2080, irq 22
3 [ALS4000_2 ]: ALS4000 - Avance Logic ALS4000
Avance Logic ALS4000 at 0x2400, irq 17
Now is ok, 4 soundcards !!
Then I carried out several reboots and also I returned several times to
the BIOS Setup factory settings. Fortunately so far it not repeated the
problem, even in some restarts 4 soundcards often change order, but they
are always 4 !!
Now I exchanged soundcards of slot 2 and 3. Everything is operating
normally.
I do not understand what has been the problem ...
I installed Debian 8 with PCI soundcards installed. Should I install
Debian 8 again, but now without PCI soundcards installed and install
them after, one to one ?.
Regards.
José Luis
