I've been trying to get this to work for a while now, with a couple of different versions of alsa (the most recent stable one and the most recent development one). in my asound.conf file i have joystick set to true, and i'm running the /dev file system. I ran the snddevices script, compiled in support for gameport joysticks as well as the analog protocol, and loaded up the modules for my sound card with a modprobe (i also loaded the pcm-oss module for good measure). But still, I have no /dev/js0, no /dev/input/js0 or anything like that. my only event file is the one for my usb mouse. Any thoughts on how I can get things working again ( i miss my genesis emulator =) would be much appreciated.
