Hi,

recently, it tried setting xine (DVD player) to use my alsa (on SuSE 7.3).
And - it woked _very_ nicely ! I was very impressed with the quality and
especially the sync between audio and video.

So, I had to downgrade my Kernel (no I realy have to) to 2.4.9.

Now, before, I allways started to use OSS, which comes with the Kernel, and I
know how to set it up... But this time I wanted to keep alsa.

This is what I did:

I got the alsa-driver Sources (Version 0.5.11, as it was on my distro
before), and installed them. After a restart mp3's etc. work fine. BUT:
If I use xine now, I notice a _huge_ difference between audio and video
(mostly 1 sec, sometimes up to 20 sec !!!). Also, if I press "pause", then
the audio keeps playing the last second or so in a loop.

Could you help me ?

Thanks in advance
