Anybody successfully using ALSA 0.9.x with a USB audio device? I'm looking into the Roland UA-30 to have something better than the cruddy, buggy NM256 in my laptop.
USB is not mentioned anywhere in the ALSA sources or docs that I can find, except for an item in the TODO list which dates back to May and could be outdated. This is not encouraging... But then I found a message from last month suggesting USB audio should work, but it doesn't say with which alsa version(s).
