I believe I have emu10k1 installed correctly on 2.4.12-ac3 in that I can
talk into my microphone and can hear myself on both digital-out and line-out
speakers. The problem I'm having is that when I start Quake 3 I'm getting
some wierd error about invalid ioctl commands and I don't have any sound
ingame. To give you some information on how Quake 3 works with sound init,
I'll explain what I know. Quake 3 operates solely on /dev/dsp and works by
memmaping it to it's userspace and then copying the sound directly into it.
Is this functionality supported by ALSA emu10k1?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
