For the last few days, I've been having a problem recording with snd. When I start the record menu, I get the following error:
[13:07:27] alsa_audio_open: hw:0,0: cannot set buffer size to 3 periods of 1024 frames; total requested buffer size is 3072 frames, minimum allowed is 2, maximum is 1365 This is with ALSA CVS ever since about last Thursday or so and snd 5.5. I did have snd 5.5 working before then, but I can't see any changes listed in the ALSA cvslog that could possible do this so I'm confused. I'm using SuSE 7.2 with kernel 2.4.10 + Andrew Morton's LL patches, Midiman Audiophile sound card. The only other clues I have are that arecord is working correct, and that the maximum buffer size in the error message is smaller than it was yesterday (a shared memory leak in snd perhaps? I've not run anything like xine which is likely to leak shared memory in the interim). TIA for any clues, James -- James Tappin, O__ "I forget the punishment for using [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- \/` Microsoft --- Something lingering http://www.xena.uklinux.net/ with data loss in it I fancy" _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
