I don't know what to do, but I can report that I get similar behavior with 0.9 beta 9 on RedHat 7.2 (2.4.9 kernel). I also have a AudioPCI card in the machine and that works fine. I can use amixer to list things, alsamixer will show controls, but after a bit will freeze the machine and envy24control will freeze the machine without any controls or windows coming up. aplay -l will show a device for the card, but any attempt to play will freeze the machine. -- * Dan Zaharevitz * Camp Springs, MD * [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
