Hi! I have tried to get AC3-sound sent out to the Toslink connector on my Hoontech Sound Track YMF-754 Digital-XG.
Normal sound from xmms, xine etc works fine but when it comes to passthru I only get the following error message: [magru@media ac3dec]$ ./ac3dec -R ~/trailer.vob 5.1 Mode 48.0 KHz 448 kbps English Complete Main Audio Service ALSA lib pcm.c:1513:(snd_pcm_open_conf) Invalid type for PCM iec958:AES0=0x0,AES1=0x82,AES2=0x0,AES3=0x2 definition snd_pcm_open: Invalid argument Output open failed I get about the same message from xine when I switch on the passthru. I am using Alsa 0.90beta10(a). What am I doing wrong or shouldn't this work with my card?
