Hi, I'm having the same problem Jesse had. I was using Alsa 0.5 with my CT4830 just fine, and now upgraded to Linux 2.4.17 and Alsa Beta10a. I only hear any sound out of the rear speakers. I made sure the "Control.42" (Master Playback Switch) is ON in /etc/asound.state, but that still doesn't help. Anyone got emu10k1 working properly?
