I'm sorry but I've a problem with your drivers , especially with alsa-utils-0.5.10.tar. I've a Notebook Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600 (PIII 750Mhz) with Slackware 8.0 and kernel 2.4.5 and "lspci" see the soundcard like an Intel (also if Toshiba says that is a yamaha).
I've installed all your packages: -alsa-driver-0.5.12a.tar -alsa-lib-0.5.10b.tar -alsa-utils-0.5.10.tar They were installed like you tell in the HowTo etc.. starting by alsa-driver (./configure - make install - ./sounddevice ), then with lib and utils with the same process. All go fine but.. So..I can't know if soundcard goes.. Another problem is...that compilations don't create the /etc/asound.conf with soundcards specific: -alsactl: No soundcards found... Whot would be the problems?
