Hi all, like in the subject, I'm maybe near to the solutions.
A friend which have my idem notebook (toshiba sat pro 4600) and SlackWare like me give me "modules.con" , "asound.conf" etc.. I've so configured drivers with ./configure --with-card=intel8x0 --with-isapnp=yes. Then I've added "modprobe intel8x0 and modprobe snd-pcm-oss" in rc.modules. Now at boot all modules are loaded. Also mpg123 goes but..no audio. I've agian this problem: [root@andrea /etc/]# alsactl store No soundcards found... [root@andrea /etc/]# amixer set unmute The ALSA drivers was not found in this system in /proc/asound/ I've all the necessary..: [root@andrea /proc/asound]# ls -l total 0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 0 -> card1/ dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 card1/ -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 cards -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 devices -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 oss-devices -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 pcm dr-xr-xr-x 2 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 seq/ -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 sndstat -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 timers -r--r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jan 22 09:38 version and in file cards I've: 0 [card1 ]: ICH - Intel ICH 82801BA Intel ICH 82801BA at 0xce00, irq 11 p.s. but I haven't the dir "dev/" that the ./snddevice will must create, but can't link.. In the kernel I've only : (M) Sound support I've heard to sign "load at boot time the devFS" ..maybe will be this..? Please give me a hand..
