Nope, that wasn't the problem ( I did everything as root. )

The ALSA-mini-HOWTO says, that there is a file pcm? containing the state
of the card no ?, which isnt there. Maybe the howto is some kind of
``too old''.

Nope, isn't --- well maybe with ALSA, but ...

Nowhere is mentioned to enable sound AS A MODULE, and I HAD TO RESTART,
before it in fact didn't work. The restart was necessary because of the
changes in devfsd.conf.

Now everything works.
