Hello! I have a Hoontech Digital XG soundcard and I want to use the SPDIF functionality.
So I loocked into the ALSA Soundcard Matrix and there is this card listed with SPDIF (IEC958) completely working ( http://www.alsa-project.org/~goemon/ ). Great! My question is now, in which alsa versions is a soundcard supported (specially my card), that is in this matrix? In the current stable or current beta? I tried a cvs version from saturday, and digital output works, but aplay dies everytime with a segmention fault. So, do I need development release? Or is the digital functionality I need even in the stable release? And are the development releases working with kde 2.2? Or have I to recompile some parts of kde?
