Hello, I am running SuSE 7.2 and trying to get VIA-8233 sound card to work. Tried a lot so far with no success. 1. Tried original drivers from distribution CD. 2. Downloaded 0.5.12a, compiled, installed. 3. Downloaded 0.9.0beta10 compiled installed. 4. Downloaded 2.4.17 kernel, compiled, installed
The only thing that worked for me was a demo version of OSS drivers. They have complained about the device (VIA-8233) sharing interrupts, but at least they worked. So, who can help?! 1. 0.9.0beta10 compile and install correctly.
