Hello, I'm french user of Midiman Dio24/96 user and i use alsa-driver-9 with ice1712 module on a debian woody system with kernel 2.2.20. I get all the utils lib and driver in beta version on your website. I made all source of this, no problem.
modprobe snd-card-ice1712 work fine modprobe snd-pcm-oss work fine envy24control, alsamixer and amixer work fine.
