Hi,

I am not on the list so please cc to me!!

I have a ac97 via686a soundchip onboard which works great with 0.9beta10
and before.
(Well from time to time I have an oops which makes me reboot the system as
otherwise the sound device is unusable)
I am using kernel 2.4.17

I downloaded the beta11 drivers, library and utils. All but the drivers
compile and install fine.

I am configuring with "--with-cards=via686" and the make will fail when
compiling alsa-kernel/core/pcm_native.c as snd_power_lock and
snd_power_wait are used with to few arguments.

This is as CONFIG_PM is not defined in /usr/include/linux/autoconf.h
(Possibly as I have not compiled the kernel with this option)

Do I have to recompile the kernel or has anyone forgotten to provide
support for systems without Power Management ?

Thanks in advance,
Michael

P.S.: I also attached the output of gcc
