if pnpdump cannot detect the chip, then it must be either disabled or
configured as non-pnp.  since ALSA ad1816a driver supports only pnp
chip (even if compiled without pnp),  so it cannot configure your
chip, regardless which parameter is set.

i suspect your bios doesn't work correctly yet..
