the latest cvs includes the "correct" fixes, i.e. you don't have to modify /usr/share/alsa/EMU10K1.conf. but it seems that currently "make dep" on alsa-driver is broken due to the new addition of i2c/l3 directory. you can continue to compile even after the error, though.
