Hello there. I've just set up alsa 0.9.0beta12 on my Debian system
(which, if you don't mind my saying so, was *hard*). I'm having
difficulty with the playback sampling rate on my Delta 66. All of
my oss/free applications are apparently unable to set the sampling
rate, and 99% of my recordings are in 44.1kHz. The card defaults to
48kHz, and so everything plays a step flat.

The commercial oss drivers include a mixer control to set the
sampling rate, but I can't find one anywhere in alsa. I expected
there to be one in the envy24control program, but afaict there's not.

Is there a way to set the rate manually? Better yet, is there
documentation I should be reading? I sure can't find anything
relevant...

Thanks, all!
