I am running kernel 2.4.16 under debian woody and I compiled the drivers
and
done an alsaconf where I declared a sb16 card. I get with lsmod the

but when it trys to run amixer it gets
Setting the PCM volume to 100% and the Master output volume to 50%
amixer: Mixer attach default error: No such file or directory
Could not initialize the mixer, the card was probably
not detected correctly.
