I have the same problems that i had with beta12 everything looks good, but I dont have any sound (warning this is one summary test, can be wrong.)
what is the version of alsa in kernel-2.5.15? this test can be worng why? because yet I don't know if it correct have two or more kernel's for the same system. With grub I can boot with the kernel that I want, but since /usr/include/linux is the same for the kernel's this can be a problem and all the links too (like /boot/System.map -> System.map-2.4.9-31 /boot/vmlinuz -> vmlinuz-2.4.9-31 /usr/src/linux-2.4 -> linux-2.4.9-31 ) so maybe the problem is not when boot the system because seem all right, and works prefectely (with exception of the modules that aren't compile in one verison and are compile in other). but when we try compile modules against kernel (like alsa). I dont know if you understand what i am trying to say.
