I know this has been discussed before, and it's said to be due to lack of a spec of the hardware, but I just want to check...
I have a MSI k7T266 main board with VIA8233 chipset (AC97 sound). The sound from my microphone is always very low, and changes to the microphone in the gmix mixer don't persist. I just want to know what the status is for this. Does it look like it can be fixed soon? Or will I have to buy a new sound card? I don't want to use the native VIA driver. Thanks!
